Cody Hudson brings extensive experience in coaching and leading athletic programs for children, stemming from a 12-year career as a Program Director for multiple YMCA locations in Iowa and Missouri. In this capacity, he developed and oversaw a wide array of youth and adult sports programming**, including soccer, basketball, swim team, and flag football. During his tenure, Cody forged strong partnerships with community groups, schools, and city park and recreation organizations, enhancing program reach and impact.

Cody's deep involvement in soccer began as a player, competing for various clubs and his high school team in Creston, Iowa. His passion for the sport quickly transitioned into coaching, where he served as a volunteer assistant for a high school team. He was a key figure in the integration of YMCA and City soccer programming with Creston City Park and Recreation, successfully creating a more expansive recreational soccer program. Cody further honed his coaching and leadership skills with the Southwest Iowa Wildfire soccer club, and later coached teams with WDMSC/Sporting and VSA before his move to Norwalk.

More recently, Cody coached with Norwalk Soccer Club before transitioning to Apex Soccer Academy, where he has been instrumental in developing players across several age groups, including the 9U-10U Boys Academy, 12U boys, and 13U-15U boys. This winter, Cody earned the National D license from U.S. Soccer.

For the upcoming year, Cody will be the Age Group Director for 11U-12U Boys and serve as head coach of the 11U Boys Select team for the 2025-2026 season. In addition, Cody is the Director of Operations for Apex. In this pivotal role, Cody ensures the effective execution of Apex programming, overseeing player registrations, roster management, and tournament coordination, all contributing to the academy's operational success.
