Bill wilson
Bill Wilson has dedicated most of his life to soccer, both as a player and a coach. After a successful career as a youth and collegiate player, Bill transitioned into coaching. With over two decades of high-level coaching experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge to Apex. His leadership roles include serving as head coach for the Lincoln High School Girls program for nine years and as an assistant coach for the Simpson College men's soccer team for another nine. Bill has also coached for area clubs like Iowa United Soccer Club and Indianola Soccer Tribe. Entering his sixth year at Apex, he will be the 14U Girls Head Coach for the 2025-2026 season.
Coach Wilson holds a U.S. Youth Soccer National Youth License and a U.S. Soccer National D license.
Off the field, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife, Holly, and their three children. He's also a crucial part of the balloon chase crew for Holly's nationally competing hot air balloon, Cherry Bomb.
